Casa Alcúdia

Casa Alcúdia is a holiday home on Mallorca that has been completely remodeled and redesigned. The villa, built in the late 1970s, is set on a hillside and, with its open split-level architecture and characteristic pine beams, recalls Californian mid-century houses.
Existing elements such as the timber cladding were preserved. The formerly white façade was given an earthy clay plaster, which was also applied inside. The floors are finished in Mallorcan microcement, while cabinets and wall paneling are made of teak. Washbasins and the kitchen countertop are crafted from Mallorcan terrazzo, and Spanish hand-cut tiles decorate the bathroom walls.
