The Leica Concept Store in Munich, designed together with OHA, represents a paradigm shift in Leica's store design and marked the start of the global rollout of the brand's new type of store design. Natural materials, surfaces and textures create an atypical retail atmosphere that, with its calm and restrained aesthetics, is more reminiscent of private interiors. The display furniture graphically and architecturally reflects Leica's idea of precision and manufacture. Throughout the store and in the gallery, long solid oak floorboards emphasize the spaciousness of the rooms. Rough, almost stone-like thrown plaster was applied to the walls. The white gallery walls, which are inserted on the second level, can be used for changing exhibitions. The Munich Leica Store received the Red Dot Design Award in 2021.
