private CLUB
Private CLUB is the comprehensive redesign of a 180 m² townhouse from the 1990s in Munich. The result is a self-contained world with a club-like atmosphere, combining South American influences with a subtle touch of pop culture.
The starting point was a series of imagined scenes by the client — moments of atmosphere, light and use. From this, HOLZRAUSCH developed a clear spatial dramaturgy: a dark, gorge-like entrance leads down into the living area before opening into a generous, light-filled maisonette. Sightlines and sequences are deliberately choreographed — from the dark entrance towards the strikingly bright kitchen, or from the dining area through the planting into the expansive living space.
Materials define the continuous, calm framework: okoumé, smoked oak, stainless steel, coloured glass, lime plaster, natural stones including Vitória Régia and Wachenzeller Dolomite, as well as Parasol Grey mirror. Existing timber elements were tinted and further developed rather than replaced. The concept is completed by a personal art collection and precisely integrated planting, which supports both the spatial balance and the indoor climate.
