THE TRANQUIL LOFT

THE TRANQUIL LOFT is a 100-square-metre city apartment in Munich-Schwabing, realised by Holzrausch as a quiet retreat above the city. The starting point was a newly completed apartment whose interior was entirely reworked — from surfaces and bathrooms to the kitchen and bespoke joinery.

The material palette is deliberately restrained: Matteo Brioni clay plaster on walls and ceilings, American walnut for wall panelling and custom-built elements, Verde Alpi in the kitchen and bathrooms, and selected details in burnished brass. A defining feature is the continuous walnut wall in the entrance area, concealing wardrobe, storage, doors and technical elements almost entirely from view.

The interior is completed by a curated selection of vintage and contemporary furniture, art and lighting, developed together with The Rope.
