Loui Paris
LOUI PARIS is a townhouse with a garden in Paris’s 11th arrondissement.
More than 80 percent of the existing structure was removed during the renovation. Openings in the ceiling allow daylight to enter the house, shaping the architecture and giving rise to the sculptural staircase. Spread across four levels and around 350 square meters, the home features a generous salon, a kitchen with a long communal table, as well as four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The design is defined by a radical reduction of materials: oak, plaster, natural stone, and stainless steel in the kitchen set the tone. Subtly placed lighting and the deliberate absence of decorative elements or art create an atmosphere of calm and clarity, inspired by Japanese Zen aesthetics.
The project received international recognition and was featured on the cover of AN Interior in New York.
